I bought a PC (laptop) for basic internet access for my daughter, with windows xp, 512MB DDR2 667 SDRAM and ram 120GB hard drive. my older laptop is 256MB ram and 10 GB hd? .. but for some reason when it comes to playing media files from the internet my new pc is very slow compared to the laptop. anyone got any ideas what i could do? My new laptop is bad??...
What flavor of Linux (and why) will run best on a Laptop with only 256MB and 512MB? My older Laptop is HP OmniBook XE3 that came also with windows XP, new laptop is Acer Aspire 5315-2698 Laptop.
