I looked at the Tuff-Luv Skin...but wasn't sure if that was the best one to protect it from breaking and scratching.. These are all available on Nstuf so I'll be studying the user reviews before I spend any more cash

I agree with Julie completely!! I'm currently using the M-edge red case.

M-edge Genuine Leather Executive Cases for Amazon KindleI had a PCH International case which is similar to the The Tuff-Luv cover. I don't think it's meant to protect the touch from damage as such, merely scratches to the casing.
For better protection, there are the M-edge cases.
