A new carpet! but when you are cleaning up pee, dont use anything with ammonia in it cause that will attract kitty back to the spot!!

The product called "Pet Magic" will work. I have a cat and have used it. It takes away that ammonia smell cat's have in their pee.

Arm and hammer carpet cleaner for pet odors. Sprinkle on and leave it for awhile depending on how bad the smell is and vacuum up. You may need to do it more than once for real bad odors I've used it and it worked.

If you are trying to get rid of the scent, use some white vinegar. If you are trying to get rid of urine stains, you should soak up the urine, then then try some oxiclean. I found a odor/stain remover at a pet store that has oxiclean in it. Works wonders! Some cleaners and detergents may discolor the carpet. You should test it on a small amount of carpet first to make sure it won't discolor your carpet
