I have a Cuisinart Compact 2-slice Toaster. The Last night it was working, but this morning the lever won't stay down. Any ideas why?
It's less than 1 year old, it's a Cuisinart CPT-120 Compact Cool-Touc 2-slice toaster with LED indicator lights and 9 browning levels it's brushed stainless and kind of retro looking. We made BLT's last night, and now the bread won't stay down in the slot! It's not "catching" or however that works.
I can't find the receipt. I bought it online and this come with 3-year limited warranty. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Wow, that was it! I pressed the reset button on the outlet and reset the breaker. Now the toaster works greatly. Thank you all!
When's the last time it was cleaned? Sometimes crumbs and stuff from the food you put in it can build up near the part it catches at, and you kinda have to jam it down a bit to get it to hold. If you hold down the lever, and the heating elements start to glow, then it could be its dirty. Try to unplug it and then if it don't work cleaning it
